Book Review: Hello Baby by Mem Fox

All creatures start out small. In this book, readers explore different babies with fun and quirky characteristics.

This sweet book looks a different qualities of baby animals that can be found from around the world. Each page is presented in a question format, giving readers the chance to engage in the text. The illustrations give a sense of texture in that they look to me made of a type of paper medium such as paper mache or crepe paper. They are large, filling up the page with life. Next to each question is a full-body outline of the animal. The variety of animals gives the text a worldly feel and connects the idea of shared youthfulness.
